Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran (born March 10, 1949) is an American businesswoman investor speaking, consultant writer, syndicated columnist, TV personality, author and author. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage she established. NRT purchased it for $66million in 2001. Corcoran later left the business. One of the show's first "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in the entire 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank until now. In February of 2020 Corcoran had signed 53 deals, the largest being a $350,000 investment that covered 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran is the second of 10 children from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mother and a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented worker throughout Corcoran's early years. Her family was sometimes dependent on food delivered by a friendly local grocer for free food. Corcoran claims her father was drunk who did her mother a disservice and sarcastic remarks. Corcoran struggled at school, and was later told that she was dyslexic. Corcoran was educated in an Catholic elementary school and then enrolled in high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran dropped several classes during her first year before transferring to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
